How close people are,
Yet so far away,
The only time they could meet,
Is on this single day.
People going about their lives,
Never stop and look around,
And see all the other people,
And wonder where they are bound.
Do we know the people we pass,
Will we ever,
They could have an exotic name like Jasmine or Sapphire,
Or a common ones like Steven or Trevor.
In this city where thousands live,
So many stories unfold,
Of people willing to tell all,
And of secrets never told.
As I sit watching this I wonder,
How much do these people know,
How much of the big picture will they learn,
Before it is their time to go.
For people just go through life,
Knowing only what they must,
Even though in the grand scheme of things,
Everything we know, love or care about, are just specks of dust.

But that was the problem with my dreams. They were always too realistic.
Ill stick to my faux crème doughnut instead of my chocolate fondant
